This is not a toy as such, it is a sweet dispenser. Made out of steel
it originally would have had two small buckets in each hand each containing small sweet jelly beans. You would lift back the bow on the head and fill with the beans, then by pulling a small daisy attached to the back of the ladybug, the beans would fall into a small container and be pushed into a drawer at the front, the drawer would fall open to allow you to get at your sweets.
