OTHER COLLECTABLES
COLLECTING does not neccessarily involve high
expenditure. There are literally thousands of things that
the budding collector can collect. Some extremely cheap,
even free like the McDonalds toys. Some people buy the
food and throw it away just to obtain the free toy, (which
after tasting one once, I think is a very good idea). Some
collectables can be extremely expensive, (cars are a
good example).
A good start for a young collector would be something like
bubble bath containers. ach year there are literally
thousands of them on the market, they are quite cheap
and you can specialise in the type you collect.
They will also increase in value like the ANDY CAPP
container shown. It is from 1969 and contained talcum
powder, currently it is valued at about 30.
PIGS are also very collectable, both cheap and
expensive. There are fat ones, thin ones, dancing
pigs, prancing pigs, black ones, white ones, funny
pigs, sad pigs, small ones, big ones, in fact there
are so many that you could get heartily pigging
sick of them. Saying that they are extremely
collectable.
BEANIES, what can I say about these delightful
collectables. Well thay are certainly in a world of their
own as they appeal to all, even though manufacturing
of them has ceased, they are extremely collectable
and increasing in value every day, a good collection to
have.
